Default Re: blackjack

if I am playing BJ it sometimes seems that the dealer's chances of busting are about zero.

for anyone else the answer is not quite so simple.
if you are the only one at the table then there will be many where you bust-out first and the dealer gets a chance to bust-out.
if there are 7 players at the table then obviously the dealer will almost always have to 'play out' his hand (unless all 7 players bust or all 7 get BJ).

i'm not sure what the percentage of bust-outs is though. i paged through Stanford Wong's Professional Blackjack but couldn't find it (i didn't look THAT thoroughly though). maybe in Petere Griffin's Theory of Blackjack.

i know i've read the figure in 1 or 2 of my BJ books but i just can't remember....i want to say 18% but that's just a guess from my pathetic excuse of a memory.
