I had no idea what to do when the ace fell. Obviously it's not good news. Do I shut it down on the spot? The t200 bet looks weak to me, but I'd feel pretty stupid betting the pot again, and getting called or raised. Results: Hero folds. I just couldn't see him going all-in without a hand better than 99. |

Re: Hero with 99
This spot sucks. Depending on my opponent, I will either check/fold, or push. Remember, a lot of hands your opponent could call the flop bet with do NOT like the ace. I think your line is a bit weak. Checking sucks too. I think most of the time I put my opponent to the test, and look silly if he/she has an ace.
Not sure about this hand, I don't like the 200 bet though. |

Re: Hero with 99
Looking over the hand again, I think I might have been better off betting the pot when the ace fell. It would give me folding equity, and probably keep him from re-raising. Also, with the size of my stack, if I have to let the hand go, I'm still have enough chips to outplay my opponents.
Ah well. |
