I forgot one other thing for my list.... what the hell happened to Giambi????? Absurd.

I see some series moves happening with this team in the offseason.

Last years team seemed like the tail end of the 90's Yankees dynasty. This years team is that same tail end filled in with more tail ends....ergo, no real improvement.

Perhaps you're seeing all the new faces and thinking it's not the same. With only one starting pitcher left from last year, it does indeed seem like a new team. Plus there's a different DH, a different first baseman (with Giambi out most of the year and Nick Johnson gone), a differnet second baseman, a different third baseman, and a different right fielder. And the bullpen was overhauled completely, with the exception of Rivera.

But I still say three more outs in game 4 and we'd be singing the praises of this team.

[img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]I think I just confused myself, but its like they filled some of their needs before the season with players that really didn't improve their team. Steinbreners decision to go after Sheff instead of Vlad looks all that much worse.
