This is the stock market forum, not channel 11. If you knew anything about the stock market, you'd realize his question was fair and common.

How would you have felt if he said the same thing a day after 9/11?

That is QUITE a bit different and can't be compared realistically considering one was a TERRORIST act and one is a NATURAL DISASTER.

Yes of course, I realize that. My only point is, come on, there are thousands dead. Have a little sympathy, wait a few days before posting on how can I make money off of other people's tragic losses.

That was my comparison.

He isnt making money off there loses, he is making money on there betterment. This is way didffrent. think for every dollar he invest there is more moeny to help re-build. The companies that re-built need capital to get started!

exactlt.. their loss merely opens the oppurtinity for "betterment", which investors can be involved in.

I think a lot of money went into defense stocks after 9/11. I'm not sure I'd get so angry over that...

I invested in pokerstars charity relief. Maybe the bad beats will stay away for a bit.

That is a solid investment.

Yes it was wrong but I am anti PC. I joke about whatever I find funny, and dont tell me you never made an anti PC joke.

And yes I have donated money to the cause, thanks for your concern

And..... I was working on a futures desk at a major wall st. firm when 9/11 went down. While the US equity mkt were not open, bonds, and ten years and globex (s&p, nasdaq) and dow futures were all trading. The phones were ringing OFF THE HOOK! One call in particular was our NYBOT clerk who said "They're closing the markets, we gotta get outta here a plane just hit the building"
