a) you can block images on stars
b) stars network = fast
c) ub network = slow

i played ub for about a month...i'm using "played" loosely as half the time i wasn't even able to connect. i'm sorry, but the stars network/software/support is far superior to ub.

did ub switch to 1500 starting stacks recently? i thought they did 1000

I play both, but I find Party to be easier.

My big knock on Party is when you are near making the money. In a big tournament, 800+ players, if you are ten players from in-the-money, they go hand for hand. This makes their tournaments last at least an extra hour with all the delays.

What just changed recently? Have they changed the hand-for-hand thing?

no, they do not. and they go so far as to say in their terms/conditions that they dont' permit speaking about deals in the table chat box.

Please expand. I have accounts at all 3 and almost never play MTTs at UB. Other than when they were running Aruba qualifiers they didn't seem to offer much. But it has been a while since I checked. Personally, I prefer the selection at Party but prefer the tournament structure at Stars.

I've decided to go with Stars for now. Their selection is good, I like their structure and the number of players entered into their average low buy-in tourney is reasonable. I may go back to Party later though.

Ub only goes hand for hand 1 from the bubble, this is par for the course to stop people like me stalling. And they upped the initial chip count to 1500 sticking with 5-10 blinds seems damn nice to me. They DO NOT facilitate deals it sucks but the value more than makes up for it. Ihavent had many connection issues with UB. The one time I was disconnected I received a full refund. But I also have cable connection so...

what is the consensus on which site is fastest? I have only played at stars a limited amount and it appears a lot faster than party.

i know party has the most fish. Which site has the second most fish, stars or UB?

I also have a question on empire poker. Why does it exist? It is the exact same software as party, that doesn't make much sense.

thanks,
kinger
