disappearing buttons final note

i bought a new laptop in january (dell inspiron) with windows 2k or whatever it is.

i am on a dial-up connection.

i have whatever standard amount of RAM and memory they gave me on the inspiron-5100. i haven't added anything of that sort because i don't know how and haven't found it to be necessary.


i have never had my buttons disappear.


to my knowledge, the problem started appearing after an upgrade they had about 3-4 months ago. i had never heard of it before then.
