Haha, in my first table at the WSOP, I was in the 8 seat, and VVP was in the 9. Talked to him a little bit. He seemed like a pretty decent guy.

Ah, thank God! All my Tivo listing said was Celebrity Invitational, so I assumed the worst.

All I can say is Phil Lott is putting on a show for the cameras tonight.

Yeah, he sure is. But the worst thing is we've seen, what? Two flops all night that weren't all-in preflop? I missed the start, but I think John Juanda (sp?) had a massive chip lead at the start, so that might explain it.

Oh, and they're advertising Moneymaker on next week's show if anyone's interested.

So I am watching. Phil and Humberto are keeping it interesting as is Vince's ridiculous cultural references:

Humberto is singing the Macarena in his head - um Vince the macarena comes from Spain

Humberto says we don't need no stinkin' clubs - nice Vince real nice

The Costa Rican has turned this into a bullfight - again Spanish.

It might as well have been Celebrity Poker tonight. It just wasn't a good show at all!

Were the prizes too small to keep these pros interested? They all played like they wanted to get out of there... except Juanda who played solid - he just couldn't buy a hand all night.

I believe its an invitational freeroll tournament. The winner took home $100k, but I didn't see any dollar amounts for anyone else (except for $5000 to charity for that guy from News Radio who was the last celeb standing at 11th place...it wasn't clear if he won that for being the last celebrity or for placing 11th).

Was there any other prize money?

And for the VVP haters. Yeah, he's awful, but I have to say that Sexton is almost as bad. The man is just full of cornball lines. But at least he delivers them badly.
