Notes about Chavez and Tejada:

Chavez is 26, and is entering the prime years of his career. Tejada's career year was 2002 and might be older than he says he is.

Chavez is the best fielding third baseman in baseball, bar none.

Also, Chavez' lefty/righty splits are ridiculously out of proportion. There's simply no reason he should be THAT bad against lefties. If he ever gets it to a normalized split, which almost all good hitters do, he'll be an absolute monster. Even Barry Bonds struggled against lefties at one point.

And.... RBI's are overrated. Barry Bonds had 90 RBI last year and was the best player in baseball.

Just a couple notes:

Tejada is listed as age 27. Reports can say whatever, but until there is proof, can't hold it against him.

I think Chavez is in the upper tier, but I think Rolen might be slightly better, at worst equal. Regardless, both of them and Tejada get their fair share of web gems.

By the way, tonight's game was ridiculously good to watch. Finally the Yankees bust out with a big inning to win the game, with patient at bats like classic Yankees baseball. Hope the rest of the series is as entertaining as this game was.

Tonight Hudson will get beat and the Yankees will score about 20 runs over the next three games.

Nice prediction. 22 runs this series for the Yankees. Only the second time the Big 3 have been swept in a 3 game series.

Default Thanks for noticing!

Well, sometimes things just work out right. The Yankees were due and they finally got some hits....

Now I don't know how to say this loud enough, but the A's are going to rip it up in Florida! I made some bucks with the Yanks, and it's all going towards the A's against the Devil Rays! Split your cash in half, bet half each game - A's win at least two of three, maybe sweep - AL
