How often is a 6 seed a favorite over a 3 seed
I've gotta imagine this is a rare event. North Carolina as a 6 seed is a 1.5 favorite over Texas, a 3 seed. I'm not saying I like one side or another, just noting that its interesting that the bookies/gamblers thought the NCAA screwed up so much in their seeding in regards to these two teams....actually its probably just North Carolina, who seems to be more of a 3 seed from the gambling lines.

Im not sure how often if happens but if wisconsin takes care of business against Richmond and Pitt takes care of business against UCF it will likely occur in this Wisc/Pitt match up too.

I'm not sure it will. I understand that Wisconsin will have a nice home court advantage, but Pittsburgh would be a decent favorite on a neutral court. I think their matchup will be Pitt -1.

Re: How often is a 6 seed a favorite over a 3 seed
UNC is like Arizona and Kansas. Big time reputation, a load of great athletes, but that team element is missing this year. They are so incredibly inconsistent I don't know how people get excited about them. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't know who is going to show up then how can you back them? Texas is almost in the same boat though, so hard to get excited about the matchup, but appears there is some value in the Horns.

Well, W. Michigan was favored over Vanderbilt and was horrid in the second half.
Gonna pass this one as I think North Carolina may be the better team, but they may not play like it. |
