It said that he raised with the best hand and won. Nobody noticed it, because it's what usually happens. We notice bad beats MUCH more.
This is a great point, and i think it helps explain why these players abuse the fish. These players think their cards DESERVE to win. Because its the "natural" order of things Im willing to bet that these players who abuse the fish are the same players who flip their loosing cards face up to invoke symapathy from the rest of the table, as if to say "look how unlucky i am, GIVE ME SYMPATHY" So they focus their fustration on the bad players Total F*&@en tools if u ask me just my opinion |

Bad players are my best friends too. I've always said that we make more money from the mistakes of our opponents than our own genius at the poker table. I can't figure out why many players like to berate poor play, other than to prove their own superiority when they just lost a pot to a lucky loser.
I've even taken some of these players aside and admonished them for doing this sort of thing, but I've never really succeeded in changing anyone else's behavior -- at least not that I can see. All I can figure is that players (some players, anyway) are so willing to allow their emotions to control their actions that they act in a way that feels good but is completely coutnerproductive to their long term objectives. The result: they are fools. They are simply cutting off their noses, and sometimes yours and mine, to spite their faces. Go figure. _____ Lou Krieger Raise your game with Lou Krieger, author of "Internet Poker: How to Play and Beat Online Poker Games" at Royal Vegas Poker.com http://www.royalvegaspoker.com/lou |
