Default big suited cards preflop

hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on playing group 3 hands preflop- particularly the suited ones. and we'll throw in KQs too.

what position/game textures would you desire to limp/raise with them?

thanks

in just about any position, the questions you should be asking yourself are:

- if i limp, how many callers can i expect? if i raise, how many callers can i expect?

if you expect the action to get heads-up with a raise, raising is usually best, hoping to take down the pot on the flop, or flop something good. if you expect two or more callers most of the time, limping is often better with the suited connectors that like multiway action.

- what is the likelihood of a raise behind me? (if it's raised in front, call only in a loose game)

if the game is seeing a lot of raising, it may be wise to dump these hands.

- has anyone limped in front of me?

this should be a deterrant to raising with the good multiway hands (JTs, et al) and an incentive to raise with hands like AQo.
