Default how tight is too tight?

hi

i posted this question in small stakes, but didn't really get an answer so i'll try it here.

for low-limit party, ie < 5/10, how tight is too tight?
as a reference point- how about NEVER playing a group 4 hand except out of blinds? how about in the blinds, how much can i muck before i'm just being stupid?

thanks for any thoughts.

If your talking about Texas Holdem, it seems that seeing the flop 20% of the time is about right.

i think you're giving up too much if you muck group 4 hands, especially in unraised pots in good position. really though, it depends a lot on the texture of your game. in an aggressive game it makes sense to play a lot tighter than usual. in a passive game you should take advantage of your good implied odds and play more hands.
