I just fold AK in these situations, this isn't the stakes to get fancy. Most likely he's got a piece of it or is trying to block you from pushing him off a draw.

It may be just me, but I gave up trying to read opponents at marginal situations because I'd always run into morons playing stupid hands.

Note also that he's betting into the PF raiser, so I'd give him credit.

As for your turn play, why $6 into $16? You should have made a stand and put in a real bet around the pot, I like even numbers, so $15. What will a $6 do? It won't push him off anything.

Don't know if you've read the rest of it, I just meant I'd bet $15, not $16, as I like that number better.

Perhaps I'm going crazy.

i bet 6 because it was a value bet. i want him to stick around with weaker pairs. a $15 bet would push off any hands i beat, but 2 pairs and sets would still call.

also, i hoped that betting the turn would perhaps make him check the best hand to me on the river, which i would check behind.

how is my reasoning?

Maybe someone can provide a better answer, but I simply don't think there's much value in a $6 turn bet.

The only thing you're charging is AQo and MAYBE a moron with JJ , but you don't really get information about where you're at and won't push the draws out.

You'll just get in trouble against sets and stuff like two-pairs who'll usually min-raise and then value bet the river, forcing you to call them down.
