I was thinking about buying some gasoline. When gas was $3.30 at the pumps I told myself.. if it gets near $2.00 to load up. Well its at $2.20 and thats pretty close. Anyway, anybody know where i could get soem info on how I could go about doing this?

Re: Commodities (Gasoline)
Unleaded gasoline closed today at $1.6268 per gallon, december 2005 delivery. 1 contract is 42,000 gallons, or $68,325.60. The difference you pay from the pump is delivery, additives, markup, and (mostly) taxes.
I don't know what you mean by "load up", if that means you want increments of 42,000 gallons, go to a futures brokerage firm and buy some. If you mean "load up" as in buy a year's worth (1,000 gallons or so for your falmily), I dont know of any alternative, other than to buy a 1000 gallon tank and dig a hole. I'd try some gambling sites (UK especially), they might offer something similar. |
