Raise to 60. I have no intention of being aggressive and trying to get people out of the pot. I want to keep the pot small and avoid risking a lot of my chips so early in the tournament.

I'll bite. Easy Raise, 4BB. If he re-raises I'd put him on AA or KK.

Raise, since this is a 10+1 and blinds are low compared to people's stacks, raise larger than normal, somewhere in range of 100-120, that seems big but I notice people will call larger bets earlier in tournaments.

Buy-in is just $10+1 on PokerStars, but 641 players involved, so a decent prize pool for the investment.

the lower the buyin, the more I tend to overbet my monsters early since there are more than a handful of double up or go home early in these.

He's a Villain for limping? I bet 200, donkeys at the table will call (or raise) with any two. This is a prime opp. to double/triple up versus Ax. If they're all competent players, and I price them out of the hand, well, that sucks.

What site do you play at? 10x bb raises are horrible and stupid. They overly commit you to hands that you need to lay down. Max you want to raise here is 5x the bb. On stars I like a 4x bb raise as standard + 1x the bb for each limper (at least early on, later at 25/50 blinds it goes down to 3x+1x).

So raise to 100. After that, play poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

At the 11s I play 3-4x BB raises in the first level are basically ignored. Doing that will still leave you with 3-4 opponents a lot.
I like a larger raise 5-7x.
Sometimes with AA or KK in the first level I'll put in a 10x raise and still get callers.

I raise to 120. Standard is obviously 80, but I think overbetting here is justified because there are tons of donkeys, there's already a limper who could easily get stubborn, and QQ is a nice hand to play a decent-sized pot with.
