Pumping draws
Ive run into these situations a few times and not sure if I am playing them correctly.
No reads, sorry, 2nd hand at table. PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB raises, UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, Hero calls. Flop: (10 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls. Turn: (10 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets, MP calls, CO calls, Hero calls, BB raises, UTG calls, MP calls, CO calls, Hero ??? check/call/call good here or should I be raising again? |

Re: Pumping draws
The way you played it, 3-bet. However I would lead the turn. The only thing you really need to be worried about is a higher flush draw.

Re: Pumping draws
Flop is perfect.
I think I just go ahead and pump the turn again. If BB reraises then you can checkraise a straight on the river or lead a flush. |

Re: Pumping draws
Actually, I think c/r'ing turn is a better idea if you have 3 other people in since there is a good chance the BB will bet that A.

That way I can make a more qualified move on the river if I hit my hidden draw (the straight). If the flush comes in then I'm leading the river regardless of the turn action. Why don't you like the turn lead? Does it really matter with such a big pot and so many opponents? Most of the time you will be leading the river if you make your draw, so why not get as many bets in on the turn if it's for value? |

Re: Pumping draws
Yikes!
I love the CR on the flop, but for God's sake, LEAD THE TURN! What a weak way to play this hand. You have a great draw, and with the pot so big, your equity is high enough that playing this fast will be +EV. Are you rally considering folding to one more bet on the turn? Call and see the river. |

Re: Pumping draws
Reasons I like checking the turn:
Its pretty likely its going to get bet behind you, so you shouldn't be too worried about not getting any bets in. Its less likely that the whole field will be faced with two bets. You might be able to 3bet many opponents (Ex: BB bets, two calls, next villian raises, you 3bet) while not facing anyone with two cold. |

Re: Pumping draws
I think you can go ahead and 3 bet the turn, you've got 15 outs and they are all most likely to the nuts. I think you should also have c/red the turn b/c there is some value there but leading is just wrong b/c it is just too easy to get isolated by an A looking to kick people out of the pot.
