It's been done. And the correct answer is Last of The Mohicans.

Agree but this belongs on the "Over 50" forum

BTW, "Unfaithful" also has a very good soundtrack.

The Committments and The Blues Brothers are good answers. Also, Eddie and The Cruisers.

The soundtracks from "Streets of Fire" and "Crossroads" are really good, as well as the Ry Cooder scores from the same movies. Other great Ry Cooder scores include "Paris, Texas", "The Long Riders", and "Last Man Standing."

My favorite is probably "Crossroads." Cooder's slide guitar and Amy Madigan's voice on "He Made A Woman Out Of Me."

We have very similar tastes in music. I actually have this one in my car CD player right now.

Though Ry Cooder is great, Steve Vai/the devil blew away Ralph Macchio/Ry Cooder. The devil was robbed I tells ya!

Eh. Fast does not = good. Cooder's playing sounded like real music you could dance to. Vai's was a bunch of showing off. Fast fingertaps w/o much melody doesn't impress me. I thought Vai had his ass handed to him even before the classical bit. I'd take Ry Cooder over Steve Vai any day and twice on Sunday, though, so I'm probably a bit biased.
