Default What do I do here?? (shorthanded overpair)

Button was loose. I hadn't seen any moves from him so far. SB tighter and more passive. I'd been throwing my chips around a bit but nothing crazy.

Paradise Poker Pot-Limit Omaha High, $0.50 BB (3 handed) converter

SB ($20.25)
Hero ($45.50)
Button ($49.00)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
Button calls $0.50, SB (poster) completes, Hero raises to $1.75, Button calls $1.50, SB calls $1.50.

I don't like raising OOP but surely its right here?

Flop: ($6) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6, Button calls $6, SB folds.

I half expect to be called so the flop is the time to make a plan for the hand. I didn't have one. Still don't.

Turn: ($18) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero ??

Are overpairs like this a creditibility issue? Does he think I'll go all the way with it and is he prepared to do something about it if not.
How far should I be prepared to go?
If I do go with the hand is there a slower way of getting it to showdown?
Should I accept it's just one pair?

Thanks
James

Preflop and flop play are standard.

Your turn decision is tougher. What would a tight and passive player check and call with on the flop? The fact you are playing three handed would lean me towards betting the turn.

if you dont bet the turn you have no idea of where you stand. You might want to bet less than the pot though. Since the 10h brought a couple of draws, that maybe your opponent could backdoor, I would bet around 2/3rds of the pot. If you get raised fold. if you get called again, I might try to make a small blocking bet on the river, something that looks like a value bet, or I might check fold depending on the opponent

The tighter player folded. I felt the loose player could call with lots of hands. Don't know what he'll do next, though. I don't think he was stupid.

Sorry, misread the hand. If the loose player is calling, then you need to bet.

A random hand has 77 or a 3 about 19% of the time and AA about 2%. He wasn't folding anything on his button but would have raised some hands making AA less likely but a 3 more likely so I'm probably ahead about 80% of the time on the flop.

The problem if I go bet/bet how often does my KK win unimproved at showdown (esp. if I'm against a decent aggressive player).
So is this just a 2 out semibluff?
How do I manage the river if called?
Is finding out where I am worth the expense?
Are there other lines?

This is not a two out semi-bluff. You are betting thinking you have the best hand.

Check the river.

The other line is not to raise before the flop. If you are going to raise with big pairs, you will have to often fire the turn especially heads up.

Thanks everyone. I bet $11, he raised to $22 and I folded. I'm comfortable with the fold, but unsure about the bet.
