AQ off, time to push?
I've been a LHE ring game guy for a long time. But after lurking here quite a bit, thought some SNG's would be a nice way to work out my NL jones with small investments. I've been in the money more often than not (caveat: very small sample size) by being very patient, and playing very tight in the early rounds. Then loosening up later.
I had been card dead in this one the entire time. The pre-flop raise comes from the table maniac, who was blind stealing (and then showing the hands) with trash even in the early stages of the tournament. So with a short stack, what's the play here? Push over the top, or fold and wait for another opportunity? NL Texas Hold'em $10 Buy-in + $1 Entry Fee Trny:14417709 Level:4 Blinds(50/100) - Sunday, July 31, 10:48:21 EDT 2005 Table Table 17610 (Real Money) Seat 5 is the button Total number of players : 7 Seat 4: xRMJx ( $895 ) Seat 6: Merlin422 ( $650 ) Seat 10: loki_fenirr ( $2383 ) Seat 3: TCE999 ( $1435 ) Seat 2: fredgl ( $817 ) Seat 5: pdxjayhawk ( $500 ) Seat 7: SquereOptima ( $1320 ) Trny:14417709 Level:4 Blinds(50/100) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to pdxjayhawk [ Qc Ad ] loki_fenirr raises [250]. fredgl folds. Re: AQ off, time to push?
Yep, even without a good read like you have I'm shoving this in, you're too short stacked- AQ is a godsend here.

Re: AQ off, time to push?
What more are you waiting for? Read or no read, this is a clear push. You want to get everyone else out and go heads up with villain, who is committed to the pot.
