BETTING is BETTING.
ex: If I say something like: "who wants to bet that Phil Ivey wins the WSOP? He cant lose!"

and the next post is: "I'll bet you, 100 to 1 odds"

Does that bind me to the bet? [censored] NO it doesnt...

But, If I then post: "Sure 100 to 1 is fine, its a bet" THEN it would be confirmed as a bet.

I'll bet $200 at 3.5:1. The deal is we throw out the first 81 games. Whoever has the bets record over the last 82 games of the regular season is the winner. I hope you don't chicken out. this is free money for you.

I'm looking at the AL standings and I notice that the A's have a better overall record than the Yankees now. Did these prop bets ever happen?
