No sound right now, except for the sound of random noise in an empty room.

Tex Barch at the Card Player Table

Tex Barch walks over to the Card Player Table, talking with Daniel Negreanu and David Williams about the last hand. Barch thinks that was a move by Irishman Andrew Black, referring back to a similar move he made the day before against Ivey.

Default Card Player(Euro) Article On Andy Black

Explains all the cryin' 'n commotion over Wang's dinner break mistake, maybe.

BTW now that it's getting shorthanded and Black has the big lead again, I'll go out on a limb and say he's gotta be the big favorite. He got a lil tired last night, but he seems sharp today. Man, what kinda odds could you have got yesterday morning that Greg, Ivey, & Mouth would all finish out of the top 8?

Incidentally, Tex Barch told Daniel that he thinks Black bluffed on that last big hand before dinner, "like he did to Ivey yesterday"???!!! Gonna have to check the log from yest.

Oh, and here's an unexpected development(from pokervoice): "A slight delay on that as once again power and Internet is lost in the media room. " At Binion's?! Shocked, shocked I say.

Sorry if all this has been posted before. I just got here and there's too much to check. Plus, geeked up for HP6 at midnight.

Default I feel like FBI

The mike is on and people are talking about nothing. Someone is going to the hospital, someone smells something and someone wants take-out. I am just waiting to hear about a hit or something :-)

To be honest and no great disrespect to Kanter I think Andy knows it's a large stack he can attack. And I think Tex is right Andy is avoiding him. Tex and Andy heads-up is my prediction barring very unlikely runner runner flushes etc. Oh wait....

[ QUOTE ]
Scott Lazar has the button in seat 9, Kanter limps for $120,000, Hachem limps from the small blind, and Black raises it to $620,000, Kanter calls, and Hachem folds.

The flop comes Jh-7c-5c, Black bets $500,000, and Kanter raises to about $1,600,000. Black quickly reraises to $6,600,000, and we've got two of the chip leaders ready to tangle at the final table.

Daniel Negreanu and David Williams are sitting right next to me (providing live audio commentary on our Webcast), and they both think that Kanter was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, and they think he's just stalling before he folds. He does not look happy, and nothing about his demeanor says, "Call." Black is carefully watching him, with a half-smile on his face, which seems to be his standard expression at big moments like this.

The longer Kanter takes to think, the more likely he is to have a piece of the board, or possibly a draw. There's some eye contact between the two players, and Aaron Kanter smiles as Andrew Black gets up to take a stroll around his chair.

It's been a full five minutes, and Aaron Kanter finally folds his cards. Andrew Black picks up a very large pot.

This guy is nails. Can't wait to see what he had.

I'd love for you to take a guess. Just had a very long discussion with another 2+2er about this and we saw it very differently.

Edit: The discussion was about Kanter's hand. That's what I'd find interesting.
