You did, in fact, misplay every street.
RE-RAISE for God's sake preflop. This guy raises 9 percent of his hands...he could be on AQ, AJs, ATs, KQs, KJs...so not only is it a value re-raise, but it likely knocks BB out of the pot...and then even if you're up against QQ-99, you're in a coin flip HU. WHY WOULD YOU SLOWPLAY THIS FLOP with BB still out there? Face him with two bets cold (this would be your second opportunity to do so)...and also see where you are against UTG. After these mistakes, it makes the turn and river seem really pointless to discuss...because the texture of the entire hand would be different had you done these things. Yes, drop down to .5/1. I don't ever get on people in this forum, because I'm certainly not one of the more knowledgable people here. But if you're routinely playing like this, I'd drop the game altogether for a little while, re-read SSHE, post a ton on here, and then come back to .5/1 in a month or so with a completely new gameplan. TAG means Tight and AGGRESSIVE. There are reasons it works. I know you know that...now the trick is believing it and practicing that religion. |

I think what you have to ask yourself is, why call the Pre-flop raise, if you do not push after you flop TPTK?
If you were worried about AA - then you should have folded Pre-flop. Otherwise, raise Pre flop - Check raise or Bet out on the flop. |

[ QUOTE ] but things just played weird [/ QUOTE ] This would not have happened had you 3-bet preflop [/ QUOTE ] I was going to say this too. Aggression early with AK is key. |

My intentions were to raise the turn but it was already raised when it got back to me. That's a reason to not reraise? That is idiotic. You need to get aggressive and push your hands. If you don't push this one at all, when do you raise? Seriously, this is one fugly hand. |

3bet preflop. U need to isolate with a hand like AK which plays better against fewer opponents - why let the BB get a cheap look at the flop? take him out now.
raise and reraise the flop. The hand plays differently from there. I think you recognized your mistakes so no need to drop down, just play it more aggressively next time. |

in actuality, you should be more apt to 3-bet AKo and semi-coldcall AKs

AKs plays well multiway. AKo does not.

Strange thing about your post is you sound like you know how you should have played this hand.
You registered on 2+2 nearly a year ago. So what gives? |

Wow, you really did misplay every street. But it's all downhill from here.
Since you didn't raise PF or the Flop it's pretty tough to help out on this hand. You basically invited them to take the pot away from and it looks like they did it. Here's my advice, take that thought you had about slowplaying and bag it until you hit a limit where trapping becomes important. |
