In this case, I don't think the player sitting next to steamboatin really cared that he was standing up.

I've never had a problem standing behind my chair and playing a few hands. My knees start to kill me after about 3 hours of sitting in and not moving much so sometimes I will stand up, maybe once every four or five sessions and only for about 5 hands or so. Never had a problem with it, and I'm not a big guy either, I just hurt a lot if I don't move around. I think the people next to me prefer that I stand for a few minutes rather than fidget constantly to keep the blood moving.

Am I missing something here? Why don't you just go to the restroom to stretch your legs or ease your fanny?
I know I would have to go to the RR after 3-4 hours.
