Obviously Kathy Liebert is helped. [/ QUOTE ] Is this a purely outcome-based observation, or can you explain why she is helped by the format? |

Re: Who Is Helped by the Poker Superstars II Format?
Because each pro has 6 tournaments to accumulate points for the next round they are able to minimize table time with Kathy (who comes across as incredibly annoying on TV, just imagine what it's like to play with her).
A few lost points during Kathy games can be made up in the other non-Kathy sit n gos. |

Re: Who Is Helped by the Poker Superstars II Format?
PSI 2 would be awesome if they had a better blind structure. Hell I wouldn't even mind the rpaid blind levels if they started everyone off with the same chip amounts, and 500-100 blinds.
this structure helps out the players who aren't No Limit hold em experts. So someone like Cyndy Violette will be helped by the structure as she probably isn't as good of a post flop player as someone like Scotty Ngyuen |

I enjoy watching it more than WPT simply because of the big names. The commentary is pitiful, but i still enjoy it. Now that Ultimate Bet crap they have on saturday nights is horrible. I'm axiously awaiting the next time they show a live tournament.

Re: Who Is Helped by the Poker Superstars II Format?
My friend told me that when I play live I remind him of Kathy Liebert. Obviously this is bad for everyone I play with, so does that make it good for me?

Day 4 they go from 16 to 8, then day 5 had the quarters, semis and finals. Kevin... |

Re: Who Is Helped by the Poker Superstars II Format?
I think players strong with math and poker fundamentals like Sklansky and aggressive players like Mortenson are helped. Players with poor fundamentals and lack of experience whose strengths are in bluffs and reads, like Moneymaker and Esfandiari, are hurt.
It is obvious from the results that it is not a total crapshoot. Some players have all 1st or 2nd places and others havemn't finished in the top 3 once. |
