Default Pocket Tens vs. PF Re-Raise

This was only the third hand this player had played at the table, so no reads on him. Should I check-call this down? Fold when the K pops up? Or fold when he raises me on the turn?

At the moment I am playing these like in THFAP. I check-call all the way (unless overcard hits). If he has > JJ I lose the minimum, if he has AK-AQ I want him to keep bluffing.

Don't know if this is the right way to play in low limits though. and this seems to be three handed, not hu.

check-fold the turn.

edit: the (unless...) part

He re-raised so I figured he didn't have 4s.

So should I always fold my 2nd pair against an overcard?

The turn card is an awful card for you. Lots of people would 3bet with AK and raise a flop like this, but I can't see you being ahead of any hand that Villain is 3betting here. JJ/QQ/KK/AA/AK all beat you, and the only typical hand that you are beating here is AQ. Typical players do not 3bet AQ and certainly don't raise the flop with it.

So check-fold the turn.

well not always but now he is putting so much pressure on you that I think you must fold.

When the pot is big and you have a good draw, you don't fold middle pair. you might even raise. for example you have Ac8c in a Qs-8d-3c rainbow flop you should continue and even raise if you can buy outs.

but when you have pocket pair and overcard flops and you get this much resistance, chances are you are drawing to an 2 outer.

well, at least I am thinking this way

Well as you can see here I got verrrry lucky and hit my two outer. But thanks for the advice. Checking and calling is something I think I do too much of so I submitted one situation that I run into alot here.

Turn: (7.70 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

River: (9.70 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button calls.

Final Pot: 13.70 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Th Td (full house, tens full of fours).
Button has Ac Ad (two pair, aces and fours).
Outcome: Hero wins 13.70 BB.
