My suggestion, do not take any of Buster's suggestions.

Here's what I see from his posts:
"I'm cooler than you."
"I'm really drunk."
"Let me tell you what's wrong with OOT."

MOOOOOO!

I've never even played with messageboard software - when you get an off-topic thread that would be appropriate in another forum, is it possible just to move it to that forum and PM the original poster?

It definitely should be possible with UBB, but I haven't been on the admin side for a while so who knows.

Hi Dynasty,

thanks for giving up your time to moderate OOT. Do you also have the power to moderate other forums and them us in case of emergency? It would be nice to have 24 hour moderation to get rid of the worst offenders.

Like I said in antoher thread, I think all you need to do is enforce the Terms and Conditions :

[ QUOTE ]
you may not post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane, or otherwise objectionable information of any kind; including without limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international laws

[/ QUOTE ]

My preference is that you delete the offending posts, not the user, not the thread.

If someone posts stuff that violates the Terms and Conditions, say, 3 times in a 3 month period, they're out.

I'm glad that there are a couple moderators to stop all the recent spam, but I think that it should stop right about there. Sometimes repeat threads or poker posts can be entertaining, even in OOT, especially in the case of a 'repeat' thread where the original was months ago.
