Default Protecting stack before FT

Im trying to learn little more tournament play, before my first live venue($100+rebuys and $1500 freezout nl tourneys)

Last saturday I was playing $55 freezout tourneys in pokerstars which had ~350players, and to 36paid.(After all I came 3rd and won $2500.. not important but had to mention.. if anyone saw me playing all comments are very welcome!!)

Anyway we were down to 10 last players, blinds were 2k 4k, and ante was something. My stack was 75k and it was 3rd biggest at that time.. first was something like 100k, then there was couple of guys with stack very close to mine, and rest(3) had all about 30k. All these low stack were at the other table.

So my question is should I now get very tight and avoid all conflicts without very good hand, or should I still continue stealing chips? I normally try to play steal lot of on bubble, but I suppose this situation is little different since I will make FT almost 100% of the time by just playing very tight.
