Re: **A Plan for Cleaning Up OOT
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] The only reason one should be banned is if they are in violation of the user agreement. If you simply do not like what they have to say, put them on your ignore list. [/ QUOTE ] and that is what this would be doing. The only difference is a few posters will wind up a many ignore lists at once. [/ QUOTE ] I see no problem with this. To each their own. I will continue to post and if you can ignore me or read what I have to say. The only thing I as is for you to bring on the damn Ms. OOT! |

I think this is a pretty dumb idea (and im not just saying this cuz I didnt make the list), but with a group of people that small, why not just abondon OOT altotogher and start your own private message board somewhere? Its not like having two broswer tabs open is all that hard. [/ QUOTE ] yup. |

Re: **A Plan for Cleaning Up OOT
why not just charge a monthly fee to use the 2+2 website?
btw, i'm sure that nearly all of the "original members" aren't even around anymore - i don't think someone who has no affiliation to 2+2 can just form a group and disallow others from entering. stupidest idea ever.... |

Re: **A Plan for Cleaning Up OOT
[ QUOTE ]
I now submit to you my plan for making OOT a better forum. I propose a group of us form together in a membership style group and adhere to some rules that should prove quite effective. The alternative of course, is that OOT heads down it’s current path of noobery and “pooper” references. Tentative rules: *members will keep a master list of OOT posters that are to be ignored by all members (this is the main point of doing this) *original members will agree upon a set list of who the original members are *subsequent members will be agreed upon by enough of the members so as the entire group can be confident in the judgement *subsequent members shall have as much say as original members, and membership will be devoid of any tangible heirarchy *members will not respond to posts by blacklisted members *membership will be based solely on content, not opinion *members will be expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is not a detriment to OOT *Members may be voted out/in again as necessary *Members may use an agreed-upon symbol or tagline to identify new topics that are suitable and enjoyable for other members, although this is not required. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] what would stop them? [/ QUOTE ] i somewhat misread the terms at first - douchebags like the OP who propose such idiocy aren't people i want to listen to anyways this idea sounds hitleriffic |

The point is I would rather read something good and not comment than read something crappy and comment as much as I want. Which part of that does not seem believable or rational to you? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, it's called a magazine. |

Agree 100%
Funny that it is the people who spend all freaking day and night posting worthless stuff here that get all uppity about cleaning it up.
