I struggle with being in this situation too. I know that if my opponent has any sense at all, then my best scenario is a coin-flip. Also, there are only two hands that utterly have me spanked, so I think I should call. On the other hand, if UTG+1 turns one of them over, I'm going to be sad.
The other thing I'd consider is that I've seen people move make this play with QQ, JJ, TT, AQ, AJ (crack kills). However, if people at my table are making pushes like this, it would seem I could find a better spot.

Maybe someone has some nice math for the answer? Me? I call, but I hate it.

I'm inclined to gamble in the stars structure, and the call is probably a good one.

I'd rate this play a C-. Call pre-flop. See a flop. Bail out if you don't hit. You'd still be in the game.

You're telling me to call the 60 preflop with AKo in good position? Call me stubborn, but I think not.

Bump.

Part of the reason why I made this post was because I was making bets with myself as to what the guy had while I was scrolling over to the call button and getting ready to be mad at myself for walking into his high PP. However the guy had 98o ... !? I won the hand and doubled up early, but I still have no idea of I should be making calls like that.

Perhaps it's alright to make it in the first few hands before the crazy wahoos have a chance to go broke making dumb plays like this...?

These guys posting must be on crack, or other illegal substances. This is very standard. If you are folding this, please go to court and change your name to Weak Tight. Most people are afraid to actually reraise with AK, but it is a very good Play. Good on all parts.
