a 650 WSOP super sat hand
Blinds 300/600 (a50). Top 12 get seats, 13th and 14th get a replay.
Still about 60 players left. I'm above avg. w/ almost 15k. I think I'm in the top 20. 8 handed, I open utg+2 to 1400 w/ 77. Folds to the SB w/ 24k who minreraises to 2200. I call. JJ2r. He bets out 1800 into a pot of 5400. I don't have much of a read on him b/c he just got moved here. Any ideas? TIA. |

Re: a 650 WSOP super sat hand
I call, if he bets the turn he can have it, if he checks the turn im betting. if he calls and checks the river you're in one hell of a spot but I'd be inclined to give up and not try to push him off the better hand.

Re: a 650 WSOP super sat hand
What do players usually have when they make this minreraise preflop and then make the weak bet on the flop? thanks

Re: a 650 WSOP super sat hand
AA, a lot but certainly not always. if you know he's a good player then go ahead and fold, if you don't you might very well be against a donk with 44. So, im gonna pay 1800 to see if he has what we think he does.

Re: a 650 WSOP super sat hand
this is rough. My question to you is how you'd play a J in this tourn, if you think you can blow him off of his hand here.

Re: a 650 WSOP super sat hand
Would a pot-sized raise here be nuts? This would make him define his hand. AK would fold without getting another card to improve...

its an ok play, but when your behind it costs you a lot more to find out.

...yes, but I don't believe in commitment. Pot-commitment that is. Well...maybe all commitment...
