Re: My book: Weighing the Odds in Hold\'em Poker
[ QUOTE ]
In hold'em, I play 20/40 through 80-160 in live games, and 10/30 through 30/60 in online games. I don't play nearly as much now as I used to, and when I do play, I always prefer shorthanded games. As for my success in sportsbetting - that's tough to quantify unless I release the exact profits I've made, and frankly, I'm not willing to do that. So I'll have to be very vague and say my sports betting winnings is greater than a very good 80-160 player's expected annual winnings. [/ QUOTE ] Any chance you'll be putting your sportsbook knowledge on paper (in a more expanded format that whats in this book) anytime soon? |

Weighing the Odds is available for immediate delivery
Amazon should have King Yao's new "Weighing the Odds in Hold'em Poker" in stock, and should be able to deliver it quickly. You also can order the book through the publisher at BJ21.com, through GBC, and through other retailers.
Wholesale book orders are customer-driven. A publisher doesn't force books on retailers; it sends books only after a retailer orders them. So if the store at which you want to buy a book does not currently offer it, ask and maybe the store will start to carry that title. The suggested retail price of "Weighing the Odds in Hold'em Poker" is $24.95. Stanford Wong publisher of "Weighing the Odds in Hold'em Poker" |

A ringing endorsement by a guy who has put out a pretty good book himself. [/ QUOTE ] Hey skp, a line like that risks driving up sales of both books. Let's not overdo it, eh? |

Mainly just wondering, but, if so welcome to the forum and pop in the "Other Gambling Games" forum once in awhile and add some meat to the blackjack conversations there. |

Re: My book: Weighing the Odds in Hold\'em Poker
picked this up at gbc today, and the guy was crapping his pants about how much this book was selling. we just got it in and had to reorder once and are gonna ahve to reorder shortly, it's just flying off the shelf blah blah.
just thought i'd add fuel to the fire that everyone seems so excited about a new *seemingly* good book so far pretty solid (i've only read ~40 pages though ) |

Re: My book: Weighing the Odds in Hold\'em Poker
I am about halfway through the first read and so far it is really good. It has tons of math but also explains the math for those of us who should have paid more attention at school.
So far the book seems to do a good job of explaining the thought processes and why you need to think about each hand. The pot odds section is good and I am just starting the section about posistion. |
