Re: From WPT Championship Blog:
Maybe he shouldn't have called a raise with Ajs. Got what he deserved!

Re: From WPT Championship Blog:
Yeah, waiting for monster hands is the best way to win these events. Just ask anyone who's won them!

Re: From WPT Championship Blog:
Oh really? You made a bad call face up to it! You start with 50k in chips and you think you shouldn't wait for big hands early? Maybe thats why your out!

Re: From WPT Championship Blog:
I never said he was out because of the bad call. I said he got what he deserved for playing that cheese. And i'm slightly kidding its not worst call ever. But its asking for trouble imo. I don't like it. If the player it was against was a weak opponent that might give you gifts postflop than it could be ok. Max is not a weak opponent although he overplayed his hand on the turn.

Re: From WPT Championship Blog:
Vince,
Opponent had raised the last 3 hands, showing A2 to the table. I would think AJs with deep stacks would be a safe enough hand to call a raise with. WJ |

Re: From WPT Championship Blog:
Well if he raised 3 times in a row my guess is he's getting closer and closer to early position. He doesn't say whether it was early position but i'm guessing early or middle. After raising 3 times in a row and showing and a2 do you think he's dumb enough to raise with another weak hand? If Matt is paying attention he would know that max is not stupid. He's not a great player, and makes some mistakes. But he cetainly is not stupid. The call with ajs is very marginal. Granted there both deep and he's not having to call alot of chips in trealtin to chips. But he'd be better off calling with 67s than ajs there. I don't like playing either. But if your gonna gamgle, i'd rather gamble with live cards. And btw who is this Vince?

He is Pescatore on stars and Pescado on party, surely you've played with him. He's pretty good.
