Annika -430 to miss cut at the Colonial
Seems like stealing to me.
Any thoughts? |

Re: Annika -430 to miss cut at the Colonial
I'm still thinking about this one. You really think it is a "no brainer"? Phil Mickelson seemed serious when he said that he thought she would finish about 20th. Obviously, he could be serious and just wrong. Seems like he would be a position to judge how well she'd do, although I don't think anyone can know how she'll respond to the attention/pressure.

Re: Annika -430 to miss cut at the Colonial
I saw a stat during this weekends event that said Phil missed the cut in 14 of the 96 tournaments he has entered with Tiger.
So if Phil misses 15% of cuts, I have a hard time thinking Annika will make 15%. |

Poking around, it looks 72 of 124 entrants made the cut at last years Colonial. They've had larger fields at the Colonial and I wonder if the attention surrounding Annika will draw more entries? Anyone know how the cut is determined on "the tour"? US Open cut is top 60 plus anyone within 10 strokes of the lead, but I'm not sure if all events use the same cut guidelines. |

Re: Annika -430 to miss cut at the Colonial
The cut for a normal tour event is 70 and ties. The Colonial is an Inv. and its field is usually limited. The size of the field won't be any bigger, but perhaps stronger.
My best guess is that -430 is right on the money. |
