Re: PartyPoker qualifiers
[ QUOTE ]
As I posted in another thread, I can't play in the WSOP due to my stupid [censored] insensitive friend planning his marriage on the beginning weekend of the main event [/ QUOTE ] Heh.... I'm getting married June 24th. I hadn't planned on going to the World Series but ended up playing that satellite anyways. When I won, it didn't take much time at all to convince the fiance that we needed to extend our honeymoon and move the 2nd part of it to Vegas |

Re: The *official* I\'m trying to qualify for the WSOP
missed in a coupla Stars $33 rebuys.
Played 8 double shootouts. Only 2nd table I made, got the $1k for 2nd in a deal, so I'm not down as much $$ as I should be.. |

Re: The *official* I\'m trying to qualify for the WSOP
I think Party's structure in those sucks, 1/45 get a seat, plus a large tourney fee.

They were down to 17 or 18 (14 got a seat) with 4 or 5 short stacks (< 20K), average around 35-40K. cubeout had about 65K chips and decided to play QQ vs another big stacks KK. Lost about 55K chips and busted out on the next hand. |

Re: The *official* I\'m trying to qualify for the WSOP
Lets do the math:
Party $300+28 (1 for every 45) Stars $615+35 (1 for every 18) Lets say you play 45 tourneys in Party and 18 in Stars to get your seat. Party: 45*300 = $13,500 45*28=$1260 They give you the $10000 seat, $1500 cash and hotel worth $2000 !! So 10000+1500+2000-13500-1260 = -1260 And this is assuming the hotel is worth the $2000 ( I think we're losing another extra $500 here) Stars: 18*615 = $11070 18*35 = $630 They give you the seat $10000, $1000 cash and free hotel acomodation ($2000 worth according to Party) So $10000+$1000+$2000-$11070-$630=$1300 (You win money !!) So, + $1300 versus -$1260 What is the best deal? |
