Default correct to slowplay here?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero calls, 4 folds, SB completes, 1 fold.

Flop: (3 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (2.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

River: (6.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB

was it correct to slowplay on flop? I felt a raise would drive him scared, so maybe it would be more worth it once the bets doubled

The BB folded...lol
Anyhow, you have to raise this preflop. Raise the flop. He's sticking around with anything decent probally so get the bets in and hope he makes a second best hand

Holy crap. What is it with everyone wanting to get cute by slow playing in micro-limits. (Sorry, just venting.)

First of all, am I reading this right, the BB folded instead of checking? Wow, what a table.

I can only quote davelin so many times. 85% of the time, they'll just call you.

If you have a REALLY excellent read on this guy being a complete tight-wad, go ahead and slow play since he's the only one in the pot, and it's a small one at that.

Keeping in mind of course, that the next card could be your undoing.

I would usually play it like you did, though if I had a read on Villain as being particularly LAGgy or somebody particularly prone to calling down with weak hands I might go ahead and raise the flop.

In a 7-handed game you should raise this preflop. The rest is fine, no need to scare away your only opponent in such a small pot. Top two IS is monster HU on this board.

I'm just curious why you said in a 7-handed game, does this mean in a ten handed game you'd limp?

raise UTG with KQo? I thought that was a definite no-no, I was getting reamed for limping UTG with KJo on a diffrent post, so I thought it was marginal to limp with KQo.
(btw, it was an AWESOME table )

I would especially play it the way you did given the preflop limp. I would normally raise here, however, because normally I am raising this preflop.

I'm actually more likely to slow this down if its a LAG. The way I see it, there is an extra SB to win on the turn by just calling the flop if he is a LAG because you can expect him to lead the turn, at which point you can raise him.

KQ offsuit EP, raise against a loose table, call against a tight table.

KJ offsuit EP, call against a loose table, fold against a tight table.
