Just to clarify -- My recollection is that there is NO statute of limitations on failure to declare income, meaning that it is possible for the IRS to get a tip about your winnings 20 years ago and go back and charge you interest and penalties for the entire time, and if you've really been bad, use it to show that you're a criminal and take possession of your body for a period of years. True, it's a matter of "evidence", but if you get your tit in the IRS's wringer, you're f'd. Pay your friggin taxes (if you live in the US.)
