Here's a more interesting hand than that:

Before I do, I would like to take a moment to thank A2o for tripling me through vs AK and AK earlier.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (10 handed) converter

UTG+2 (t1865)
MP1 (t4505)
MP2 (t10336)
MP3 (t2514)
CO (t2212)
Button (t3646)
SB (t3637)
Hero (t8249)
UTG (t4079)
UTG+1 (t4279)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
8 folds, SB raises to t500, Hero calls t350.

Flop: (t1000) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets t700, Hero raises to t3200(puts him all in)

Nothing special about the guy, had played his share of pots (not terribly many). I simply didn't see him playing an overpair like that, and figured I was likely best or could fold out AK or a smallish pair.

Anyone like/dislike?

-Kings

Default Second break

5617...active table, going up and down. The other loose aggro just lost all his chips, so hopefully things will be a bit easier for me now.

Hard to say, since his raise in the SB can be done with a much wider range of hands. Its risky, but there's a fair bit of money in the pot and you probably aren't buried if you're behind.

I do like it because of what you say: he had played his share of pots. Most likely, he's a fairly tight player trying to play "right", so he's "supposed" to raise in the SB like this with any two, and will probably be likely to fold anything thats not a very solid flop hit.

I wondered what you were doing in the time it took you to call once you showed AA.
