They do film all of the events. Even the ones they know will not produce good ratings are worth filming because it is not particularly costly to them once they are filming all of the other events and if something amazing happens then they have it on tape to show even just that part if not the whole event.

They will not televise Omaha HL because they don't want to confuse the average viewer

[/ QUOTE ]

Or maybe not even show Omaha-high as sometimes the players get confused. "I call.. I have a straight".. lol. And that's the guy who won it!

I can understand why ESPN wouldn't want to broadcast hi/lo split games. I hope they air the Kansas City lowball event this time. I'd also like to see some Pot-limit Omaha coverage.

By "filming", I believe the original poster meant whether there would be a TV table with card cameras in addition to roving cameramen. I don't think ESPN is going through the effort of the TV table for tournaments they have no intention of televising. However, roving cameramen may pick up events in non-televised tournaments becasue they're in the room working on a TV tournament which is running simultaneously. That's how they got the Annie Duke win last year.

There were two PLO events televised in 2004, weren't there?

I met a guy at the casino that plays in McManus's home game. Every time he acts out of turn, they razz him that he's "disrespecting the game".
