Default \"Money Pit\"

Tom Hanks' finest performance?

He is a great actor, but I really do like him more in his comedic roles.

Everything that he does when he is stuck in the floor is hilarious.
But my favorite is when the tub falls through the floor and he laughs for a full 30 seconds. I almost cry every time I see that scene.

A better drama or comedy actor?

Pfft.

Joe vs. The Volcano was clearly Hanks' best performance.

Actually, he's significantly better at drama than he is at comedy. I have to say, his performance in Saving Private Ryan is probably his best. Behind that (or maybe tied) are Road To Perdition and Philadelphia

I HEAR YOU LAUGHING IN THERE, I'M NEVER COMING BACK HERE!

definitely a great movie. Hanks' finest performance? nah

i think that castaway is one of his best performances, it's really hard to do an entire movie with only a volleyball as your main target for dialogue for most of it.

not his best movie, but a great performance.

Ahhhhhh. Home, crap, home.

Okay, fine, he was a little better in Saving Private Ryan and Castaway.

His best movie is Big. But Money Pit is pretty good. This was back in the good old days before he sold out and did a lame Robinson Crusoe remake and jumped on the Redsox lamewagon, I mean bandwagon.

I haven't seen it since it first came out (20 years ago?) but I recall thinking it was one of the worst movies I had seen in a long time.
