There were so many revolutionary games produced during that 10 year span

How can anyone not have mentioned Myst.

[/ QUOTE ]

We are discussing best games, not best selling games. Myst was pretty weak.

[/ QUOTE ]

Aww, come on. You mean you didn't get excited about Myst when it first came out? I haven't played it since wayback. So I don't know how it stands up, but it was awesome at the time.

Also, ditto Masters of Orion.

And I'm a fan of Kings Quest 6.

I also liked the DnD Construction Kit.

B/c the discussion is about games not eye candy. Don't get me wrong, I spent many hours on that damn game but in the end it's like having nothing but cotton candy for dinner.
I'm disappointed to see that Duke Nukem 3D failed to qualify time period wise by 29 days.

It would have been number one based on multiplayer alone. What was better than shrinking you buddy and running around trying to step on him. So many hours wasted in the computer lab...

Happy birthday Matty!

My fav was to freez ray and then slowly walk over and kick right as the freeze was gonna wear off. It took the dickhead IT guy a long time to figure out that we were installing and uninstalling Duke every night. By the time we were shut out, the internet was fast enough to MP. I'm talking like 28.8 and 56k modems BABY!
