A buddy of mine played for 9 hours opening night at Cherokee Casino in Tulsa. He said he didn't see anyone win an uncontested pot all night at the 4/8 table he played.Lots of fish but you will have to showdown the best hand most of the time.I probably will not play until they spread a no-limit game and I'll post a report about it.

Was at the cherokee casino late saturday night. 30 tables going. 2 hour wait for seats except for the $500 minimum buy in no limit table. The card room is very nice and larger than most I've been to in vegas. The operation was running pretty smoothly giving it was the first weekend and it was packed. The 4/8 games i observed were crazy soft. Not unusual to see people calling down raises with the board for their hand. watched the $10/$20 omaha for a while - looked more competitive. The $500 minimum was pretty agressive but more conventional play.
Lots of 18-21 kids and a surprising amount of women. probably 1 for every 8 guys. I live in the Tulsa area so I'll give you more info as I get out and play and here reports from other players. |

What NL tables do they spread with what blinds? Anything smaller than 500 buy-in?

So the OK card rooms are 18+? The lowest limit is 4/8? seems kind of wierd to spread 4/8 and 5/10 but not 3/6. wierd.

$200 spread nl i believe it was 2/4 blind. The $500 spread was 5/10 blind. Those were the minumum buy in I don't know if there was a max buy in.
I was very surprised on both the size and quality of the card room. There was room for at least 60 tables in the room. |

There was no 5/10 game. 4/8, 10/20, 20/40 and $200 nl, 500 nl. It seems to be evolving almost daily as they add more tables.

I'm with you on that. I'm waiting until I hear some good reviews before I cross the Red River. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. I have never ventured into OK. But I bet it is one hell of a jungle. I am eager to see what stakes WinStar will have. Its on mile 1 right? |

I called the Chocktaw Gaming Center in Durant. Currently a Bingo Hall not a Casino. Poker and BlackJack will begin in Feb. This is about 1.5 hrs from downtown Dallas. No idea on limits or games.

With all these people replying to the thread we just get some investors, get a license, buy some property and just start our own poker room right across the border. Or is that indian tribes only that can do that?
