Default Building Your Bankroll

I put in $100 to start and am trying to figure out the best way to build it. I only play SnGs but recently have had trouble placing in the money. Any advice for placing in the money and/or winning a single table sit n' go? Thanks.

I dont think $100 is sufficient enough to start with. Wait til you have $350, and play either the .50/$1 ring games or the $10+1 SNGs .

350 to play a SNG? are you on crack!

If you have money and you are a losing player you will lose it just as fast in a SNG as in a NL or Limit cash game!

I reccomend you play 5/1 tournaments(high entry fee yes..but you need experience!!!) ONE at a time because if you dont have experience nothing can save you. Playing SNG's over and over again wil allow you to better judge your current situations and how the ramifications of those choices will effect the rest of the game.

Move up to 10/1 once you have 176 dollars. Move down if you get below 88. Move up to 20/2 once you have 1,000 or over 500 SNG's played.

search for the party 10+1 SNG FAQ, really is helpful. If you are playing on party don't play 5+1 SNG's only 10+1 even if it means playing with a weak bankroll, because 20% rake is too high. 100 is about 1/3 what you need.

check out the 2004 world poker players conference dvd. lee jones maps out a great strategy on how to beat the sng's followed by daniel negraneu giving a seminar on final table play. another thing i would recomend is to get away from party...the blinds increase very quickly and you are started with a small amount of chips.
