Default Profit in SNGs

I have read on here that one particularly profilic SNG player on Party makes $20000 a month multitabling the $200s 8 at a time. Here is the sample of what this might look like:

8 tables X $215 equals $1720 in costs
Assume each tourney takes an hour to keep the math simple
If his ROI is 20% then he will make $374 per hour
Assuming he plays roughly 54 hours per month the math adds up

Does this seem possible to anyone else? I heard this number and was somewhat staggered. I mean to play 30/60 and make this kind of return seems like it would be very difficult even multitabling making SNGs more profitable.
Thoughts?

I would decrease the ROI and increase the number of hours per month . . . then it's feasible.

Agreed. If you are good enough to beat the $200 games for a healthy return, you are probably a pro. An playing less than 60 hrs per week for a pro is obviously nothing.

I seem to recall that average Americans working full time work 1900 h/year. For Europeans that figure is 1600 h/year. 60h/month only makes 720 h/year, which is nothing.

I'm interested in how many hours per day you think someone can play online over the long term. On occasion I will play for 12 hours, but I find it exhausting. I would not be able to play 8 hours per day 5-6 days a week.

My original post assumed that this person was multitabling 8 tables at once. If their ROI is healthy then they could make quite a significant hour per rate return on their money. Does this make sense?

I think you underestimate the amount good players make multitabling limit games. 2 bb/100 hands is quite possible 8 tabling for great players at 15/30, much easier than averageing a 20% roi in $215's. 2 bb is $60, 450 hands an hour makes for $270/hour. All poker is profitable if your really good at it, the key is finding something your really good at.

thats a good point lacky. I was just going on what I had heard for win rates at that level. I really dont know for sure though. I just think the SNGs seem easier to beat

I think a good sng player can beat low buyin games with less swings than at low limit tables, but beating the 215's takes the same skill level as beating 15/30 IMO, and I have played tons of 15/30, lots of $109's and some $215s.

It seems unlikely. 8-tabling would be very difficult to do well, particularly if you made the final 4 at (say) six tables at once.
