Re: With me or against me?
Bet-Raise on the flop you might be ahead
Bet-Raise-Call... You are beat. 3 players in for a bet and a raise on a 3 suited flop and your low flush is beat. Nuf Said. -Steve |

Re: With me or against me?
You realize that his opponent had the nutz, right? This is a hand he should not be in, and play carefully if he is.

Re: With me or against me?
Yea-clearly the button has a monster, unless he's very loose and will chase all day even with a bettor and a raiser in front. That said, Hero led out, was raised significantly, and button (knowing he shouldn't force out the bettor) quickly calls from what it sounds like. That should be sign that you're beat somewhere. A 6 high flush with that kind of action behind you reeks of trouble. I know it's tough to fold a flopped flush, but this one is so vulnerable and seems like it's already slaughtered.

Re: With me or against me?
I don't think this qualifies as limping UTG, we were in a 6 handed game, I was 3rd to act after the button straddled, and I don't want to raise because the pot would be too large at that point to call a re-raise with 6-high preflop.

Re: With me or against me?
i think this post points out extremely well why the greater value in suited connectors is for their straightening value.
playing them for a flopped flush is only going to get you in trouble. actually now that i think about it, i really prefer flopping open ended with a flush draw with a suited connector to anything else, feels like even when i flop a nut straight i feel vulnerable to people drawing. |
