I like it Lori. I am not on the East Coast or using AOL and have been having problems since I tried to start playing an hour and a half ago.

Hi there,

I wasn't cost anything by your crash an hour or so again, but a lot of my friends and forum friends were.

I don't think this AOL/East coast invention is really convincing many people, do you think you could possibly send the real email along the lines of

"Hi there,

We are going to screw you out of your cash

Thankyou for choosing Pokerstars.

Carlos"

or at least let us know what is really going on.

Thanks

Lori

I don't think Stars are deliberately trying to screw us (sorry, if I have missed the intended humour in previous posts) but they really should tell us wtf is going on. It is 2:47 am and I am 1st out of 8 in the Omaha tourney and would like to either
(a) go to bed with 1st prize in the bank OR
(b) stay up and win 1st prize

I do not want to
(a) go to bed and find out that some bollocks democracy clause has been employed to split the dosh evenly.
(b) sit here in pathetic limbo

rant, rave etc. etc.

Oh, and Carlos is a dead man next time he holidays in Glasgow.

It isn't the cash I may be out that bothers me so much as the fact that this was going to be a non-stop poker night, because the wife is out of town Oh well, party here I come...

I think some newbie in the office has taken it upon himself to try to save them some cash.

Stars have always run decent refund policies for things like this, I'm amazed.

While there is nothing else to do, I'll offer 10/1 that Carlos does not come to Glasgow (Scotland) for his next holiday for one or more of the following reaons

1) It is cold and wet all the time
2) It is the stabbing capital of Britain. The chance of being murdered whilst on holiday is 2:1.
3) One of us will have already got to him before he can get on the plane.

2:54am. Now even more pissed off than previously.

This actually happened to me once before in a MTT tourney on PS, and they refunded the entry fee of everyone that was still in and then awarded the remaining prize pool based on chip count. Relatively fair, actually.

How would they decide the cutoff though since some people are still playing?

Oh, that's good news: a chip count will be fine.

If they do that, I'll make sure that Carlos is spared.

I'm hoisting a beaker of Glenfiddich on the rocks in your honor. Cheers.
