However I am suprised at how well a hand like 23KK does. K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Makes sense if you think about how the hand works together. You have a high pair, two cards that make the second nut low (and are two to the wheel), a suited K2 which makes the second nut flush.

23 is the 3rd nut low.

23XX is much more playable in pot limit then in limit.

most of the hands above are ALOT more than 23XX.

THe hand that cracks me up and is currently vastly overplayed is JJ +2<5. I can only hope my set kings and aces keep falling against these poor folks.

This list looks pretty good to me. The key is that
a hand with a 23 in it starts out marginal, the other
cards and position make or break the hand. You could
throw away most of the listed hands and not miss a
whole lot, especially if you don't know how to fold....

I know I know, I was half asleep when I wrote that. Thats the only defense I could muster. Obviously with 23 you hope the A falls which will counterfeit a lot of people.
