The tournaments you're talking about are @ Greektown Casino. Basically one table SNG. $110 per person. 1st place pays $600, 2nd pays $200, and 3rd pays $100. Tournaments run continuously from 12pm Sunday till 12pm Friday.(as soon as one ends, another starts up, providing there are enough players.)

So there's no tournaments from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon?

Have you played in one yet? How is the competition? Is it 9 or 10 per table?

The Sit and Go's are held only during the week (no weekends) as described in the prior post. The one table tournaments are set up for 10 players. First place is $600, second is $300 (not $200 as reported earlier), third place is $100. Buy in is $100 + $10. The overall competetion at the no-limit tables has been all over the place lately. Many new faces have joined the tables. I would imagine this will trickle over into the tournaments. These tournaments should help those who felt their skill was on par with others at the cash game but who struggled with some of the players with a much larger bankroll. Just my two cents.

Cool. How long do lists tend to fill up? IE, I am the first person on the list for a new tourney... is it going to be a matter of minutes or a matter of hours before there's 9 more to sit?

Say, week days between 8pm and 2am, which is when I would most likely go.

I play at the limit tables nearby...and it is likely at those hours you will have a wait to get in a tournament. They have been running continuously one after another.

Wait to get in a tournament because there are too many people signed up and not enough tables? Or wait because it will take a long time to get 9 more people together?

I think it's just single table tournaments.

I think he's asking about the blind structure. I may try to roll down there after work next week to check it out. If I decide to do so, I'll report back on how it played, etc.

Regards,
Noal
