You cannot ask to see the mucked hand if he mucks it before showdown. That means - if he fold to a bet wich he does according to the poster.

while it sounds a lot like collusion, i find it difficult to believe they can continuously pull this off to the degree that the 'mob' as you put it wants to confront this straight out.

i mean, here and there they're gonna get a player to stay with... unless one of them folds out blatantly at this point, it'd be hard for me to justify guilting them for collusion...

Default That is not correct

when it's heads up on the river, you most certainly can ask to see the mucked cards.

That was the original intent of the "must show" rule- to prevent this type of collusion where two players whipsaw others with raises and then hide their actions on the end.
