Re: SnG situation in Omaha/8- what would you do?

Folding has to be +EV here. Although I'd do it reluctantly.

Four people left in a 10+1 Party Sit and Go. I pick up J T in the BB. There is an UTG limper and I am positive he has AA. I have played eight-teen sit and gos with him and he has only...

Re: JJ

Definite push in ...somepeople say that anytime your committing over 40% of your chips you should just go ahead and push.

Re: JJ first hand of SNG

[ QUOTE ]
Raise it pre flop, im talking about a good raise like 5BB to elimate stupid limpers.

For me this is a pretty big tell in SNG's. If someone makes an abnormally large...

Re: Heads up- reasonable push?

Definitely a good play. Straight draw with overcard a definite push for me. You were unlucky to get called by the straight and lucky to hit the backdoor flush.

If you want Paul Phillips take on...

Re: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

You need a new girlfriend....preferably one that either doesn't play poker or knows quite a bit more than the current one.

Re: My main problem with Sincere.

T.J. Cloutier was backed by Lyle Berman for many years...may still be...but would this diminish his poker ability?

The dead guy was on my left and after awhile I asked the other two if they wanted to do anything about him without being specific.

Re: Norman Chad is great

Vince seems better so far in season 2 compared to season 1. I still cringe when I think of Ivey flopping quads and hear..."The Star Spangle Banners going off in his head right now"

I prefer Chad...

Re: Playing KK on Level 1

If your going to fold to a $300 bet with $1325 in the pot your playing to weak. I'd push All-in. Folding pocket Kings will hurt you more than it will help you in SNG's

Re: All-in as favorite, when do you call?

I'm with Pzhon. If I know I have the edge here I'm calling. Most of the time you double up and the other times you start a new sit-n-go right away.

I don't do this much because its hard to read...

Re: high pocket pairs sucked out on the river

Don't waste your life away telling bad beat stories. I think you know you got your money in each time as a favorite. Hopefully you don't need anyone to tell you that.

It should reassure you that...

Re: Did I make any mistakes here?

If he has a nine so be it. I think its quite likely he could have a 6 or overcards. If you were the big stack a fold might be in order but this seems to be a good place to take a stand.

Re: need some help with playing AK late in a tourney

I really wouldn't sweat your play getting in as a 3-1 favorite in the first case and about a 3-2 favorite on the 2nd one.

If anything getting in as a favorite both times should tell you that you...

Worry more about making the correct decisions and less about results (easier said than done).

It's actually a sign that your playing well when your dominating them and they suckout on you.

Re: Party $5 SNG 3 left

I like your raise 400BB to 1000
I also raise 200BB to 500

Psychologically I think those size bets are pretty similar to 3xBB without risking quite as much

You will more likely be crying rather than laughing when your 65s get called by JTs - exactly the kind of hand that would've brought the 2xBB raise and fold to your all-in before..
