New copy of PL & NL Poker cheap
I recently ordered a couple of books from Bob Ciaffone and there was a mixup in the order. Instead of Improve Your Poker I received a copy of Pot-Limit & No-Limit Poker which I'd already ordered and...

Re: Party .5/1 vs 1/2
[ QUOTE ]
I ask because most human players have psychological problems when playing at four times their normal limit. This is especially true during a run of bad luck.
Now if you're a bot, you...

Re: Phil Hellmuth is an Assholio
That was the first time I had seen that episode as well. I couldn't stop laughing at Grizzle's table chatter /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Next steps in reading
Yes, the new 2+2 LL book seems like it will be mandatory /images/graemlins/wink.gif But I think I have some time to get other reading in before it's released.

Re: Next steps in reading
The only thing that prevented me from listing Middle Limit Hold'em as a possibility was Mason's review. In particular, the "flaw" he mentions which sounds directly opposed to learning how and when to...

Next steps in reading
Some background. I've been playing 0.5/1 and some 1/2 for about 5 months now, around 50 hours/month. My reading so far has been Warren's Teaches... (fortunately I only used this to understand minimal...

Re: Got lost on the turn with two pair
Thanks for the replies. Realizing that my lack of intel gathering on the flop might have contributed to not knowing exactly what to do on the turn is a good perspective shift. Imagine my horror when...

Got lost on the turn with two pair
In my still limited experience the following hand has been the one that most put a knot in my stomach. It emphasized that I don't really know how to play two pair or deal with really aggressive...

I just recently bought a copy from Bob Ciaffone himself. You can do that here (http://www.diamondcs.net/~thecoach/pokerbooks.html). He ships very quickly, and you'll get a signed copy ...

Re: my question
Many online game sites do this already, e.g. chess. As mentioned, the poker sites need only to disable their own software, nothing else. So you can run your bot but no site to play on.

Re: slow play online
Some people seem to take the entire time limit every time it comes to them. I personally find this really annoying. But since it's their prerogative I usually just go to another table if it keeps up...

Did you save it as an .rtf file accidentally? Try just using notepad.
And, yes, PT will really discard duplicates when you import and it will report how many hands it ignored as duplicates as...

I check for tables with an average pot of $9-12. From watching tables the $6-8 pots always seem to be too tight. On the other end I've run into several maniacs that seem to create relatively large...
